The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1.5 mile D shaped oval speedway complex consisting of four different racing venues with a seating capacity of 156,000. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is located just outside of Nellis Air Force Base sits on 1200 acres. In an effort to take drag racing off the streets of Las Vegas into a more secure and safer environment, the speedway has opened its doors two nights per week for local drag racers.
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is called home for UAW Dodge 400 (formerly known as the UAW Daimler Chrysler 400) which is held early March and is considered one of the top races on the Nascar Sprint circuit and is sold out each and every year.
Of all the Nascar tracks, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is considered to be a phenomenal track to attend a race as the track is set up to enable the cars for passing and to go 2 or 3 wide. The Las Vegas track seating is divided into four Sections, 1,2,3 and 4. Section 2 is considered to be premium as it is located on the front stretch with view of pit road and the start/finish line. Each individual section is color coded to red, white and blue with blue being the premium seating option in rows of 28 to 48. The white section are also very good seats for substantially less that the blue but still offer a great view of the track.
